Candidate Checklist

This checklist is designed to serve as a resource for information before the candidates meeting. Any questions should be directed to the CRO or DRO at elections@munsu.ca or by visiting the MUNSU General Office.

Qualifications
  • • Must be at least a part-time student at Memorial University of Newfoundland
  • • Must be a paid member of MUNSU
  • • Must have a minimum 60% average
  • • For a specific ward, must be a representative of that ward
Nomination
  • • Top sheet signed and returned to CRO via MUNSU front desk before leaving with nomination package.
  • • Campaign manager and workers information filled out.
  • • Sufficient number of signatures attained.
    • 50 – 100 for executive positions.
    • 20 – 40 for Board of Director positions.
  • • If running for a specific ward, signatures must be attained from ward members. (ex. Running for Arts Rep
  •  must have signatures from Arts students)
  • All nomination materials handed back to CRO by 12:00 P.M. on Friday, March 5th, 2010.
Candidate Meeting
  • • Attend candidates meeting on March 5th, 2010 at 5:00 P.M. or make alternate arrangements with CRO.
  • • Attained all campaign rules & regulations at meeting.
  • • ABSOLUTELY NO Campaigning before it is deemed acceptable by the CRO at the candidate’s meeting.
